Even the most creative housekeeper can be challenged by stains. So, it is very important to know how to remove stains. That's why professionals in the field of cleaning are constantly working on the problem of cleaning stains. And they have already come up with a number of ways to remove stains from different surfaces.
The most problematic are clothing stains. For example, those caused by blood, coffee, fruits, grass, ink, oil, rust, or wine. There are some basic tips which may help you keep your furniture looking its best, providing good comfort and a healthy-looking appearance. First, many specialists recommend cleaning the furniture with a vacuum or light brush. This will prevent dirt build up. To remove stains, it is better to use the foam from a water-based cleaning agent, for example, non-solvent upholstery shampoo or some kind of mild detergent. It should be applied with a special soft brush in a circular manner. If this doesn't help, there are some professional furniture cleaning services available.
Possibly, the most difficult stain to remove is rust. Sometimes only professional dry cleaners are able to remove such stains (particularly if the fabric is dry cleanable only). In case the fabric is washable, two methods of cleaning the stains can be followed. First, you may use a commercial rust remover and follow the necessary product directions. These removers are almost always safe and effective for the majority of fabrics. Be aware that they usually contain hydrofluoric acid and, as a result, they are extremely toxic. Be careful not to burn your skin. The second way to remove the stain is to use a reputable dry cleaner. If the stains remain, we suggest you try the lemon juice method: first sprinkle salt onto the stain and squeeze some fresh lemon juice there. Be aware that this may change the colors of some fabrics.
